Okay, kids! I have this OOP movie uploaded for you all <3
Buried On Sunday (1992) aka Northern Extremes, is a fabulous little Paul Gross movie featuring a small fictitious Canadian island off the coast of Nova Scotia whose entire economy depends on fishing - that is, until a bunch of suits in Ottawa decide that their fishing quotas have to be cut under the guise of ‘preserving fish stocks’. By complete coincidence, an AWOL Russian nuclear submarine shows up at the island, most of its crew having abandoned it. The people of Solomon Gundy - or rather, their somewhat eccentric priest Augustus Knickel (Paul Gross) - turn the situation to their advantage, and a small island suddenly becomes its own nuclear armed nation.
Oh, and I suppose there’s a fair amount of Paul Gross looking scruffy, handsome, drinking beer and flaunting those lovely bare arms of his. There’s also rather a lot of the famous Tongue. This movie is sadly out of print and unavailable anywhere. I was fortunate enough to have a fellow fan allow me to buy her DVD copy and this is a direct DVD to .mkv format encoding. It really doesn’t get too much better than that.
Now For The Nitty-Gritty:
* You will have to send me an ASK in my Tumblr inbox for the download link.
* DO NOT circulate this link publicly. There’s only so much bandwidth, and if you’re trying to save this file for yourself you’ll only hurt your own download speeds as a result.
* You may reblog this post though!
* Enjoy and try not to drool too much on your keyboards. Because warranties don’t tend to cover that.
