confused Fraser is the best Fraser, especially the times when you can’t tell if he’s genuinely confused or just pretending actually that would be all the times

Turnbull genuinely confuses/annoys Fraser, I think; partly because he really can’t believe that Turnbull is faking it, and partly because dammit, being dense is supposed to be his forte, and yet here is this guy who manages to pull off Really Weirdly Dumb and Confusing to a level unprecedented in Fraser’s experience.
